Filling after heat treatment

The FlexDos solution is based on a new technique. Functional ingredients, colours or aromas are injected into the base product with high precision after the final heat treatment, just before filling into retail containers. This process ensures the survival and stability of heat-sensitive functional ingredients so that they maintain their health benefits, and avoids the need to overdose expensive additives and ingredients.

The positioning of the FlexDos means that much of the timeconsuming intermediate cleaning of processing equipment can be avoided. This allows products to be changed over rapidly with minimal product loss, which facilitates short runs and straightforward product development.

Asepticity and product safety are assured because the sterile dosing needles and feed-tubes of the FlexDos system are changed between each run, whilst a steam chamber guarantees aseptic conditions.

Full traceability

The FlexDos has a traceability system that assures full traceability of all important parameters and parts, which prevents out-of-date products entering production by mistake. Recipes are managed by a database, to provide consistent and accurate dosing every time.
