Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1
Continuous indirect UHT treatment with mixing and blending module
Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1, is a new cost effective module developed in to meet the requirements of portion pack fillers for Tomato products. Complemented with the also new optional low capacity mixing module, Tetra Pak can now supply a complete line. The aim and target group for this product is to compete with other low cost solutions but also to take market shares from the tin can industry with the small portion carton package.
Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1 is a push button automated module with capacities matching the available filling machines between 650 to 1800 l/h.
The module is semi-automated with push button for hardware control. The operation can be divided into three steps:
- Pre-sterilisation
- Production
- Cleaning-in-place
Before production can commence it is necessary to sterilise the aseptic area of the module by circulating pressurised hot water for 30 minutes. After sterilisation the module is cooled down to production temperature. Finally sterile water is circulated through the production circuit.
Production starts by filling the module with product via the product balance tank. The product displaces the water/product mix to drain or to a reject tank. When downstream filling machine is ready, production can start. The product is heated by means of an indirect hot water circuit in a Tetra Spiraflo tubular heat exchanger. The product is held in a holding tube for the required period of time.
The production is controlled from a semi-automated panel including a two-pen temperature recorder and push buttons for pre-sterilisation, production and CIP-control. The pasteurisation temperature is controlled by a temperature controller. The module has a fixed speed capacity as first choice and can be optionally equipped with 2-speed capacity to match 2 fillers in the modules with higher capacity. After each production run the module is cleaned with both lye and acid. In special cases modified formulated detergents is recommended.
The standard Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1 module is based on AISI 316L stainless steel in all product-wetted parts in heat exchanger and holding tube.
Tomato products contain salt (NqaCl) either in natural or in added form, and in combination with low pH, they will form a corrosive media, especially at high temperatures. By using acid-proof stainless steel qualities like 254 SMO in all product wetted parts at high temperatures, severe corrosion is avoided.
Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1 is designed for high acid products (pH< 4,5),smooth products without particulates, particularly tomato products where 110°C pasteurisation temperature and a holding time in the range of 30 to 60 seconds is sufficient.
Mixing and blending unit for TA Visco 1
Mixing and blending module is a mixing modules intended for mixing of liquids for prepared food applications as tomato juice, tomato puree, ketchup and other formulated prepared food products.
A mixing and blending module can work integrated with the Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco 1 or pasteuriser/steriliser supplied by others.
