FlexDos Unit 2000: the good injection

The traditional way of making flavoured milk or adding vitamins to fruit juices is forever gone. Today the FlexDos Unit 2000 (FDU 2000), by Tetra Pak Arom Pak, allows you to dose with extreme accuracy flavourings, aromas and any other additives you want.

This stand-alone unit is placed immediately before a filling machine and is able to add heat sensitive additives and functional ingredients, such as lactose, Omega 3 and vitamins, in a safe and aseptic environment, to products such as milk and juice.

If we take Omega 3, for example. many studies state that intake of Omega 3 can have beneficial effects on consumers’ health and the usage trend is rising fast.

On the other hand, aromas and flavours that are heat sensitive can now be added aseptically to products. The flexibility that the system offers, to treat smaller batches at a time, shortens time to market and increases opportunities to commercialise top shelf products in a cost-efficient way.

Additional safety is provided by an advanced bar code based control system that provides total traceability.
