Guatemala

In spring 2005, a School Milk Pilot Programme was launched in Guatemala's two main cities. The programme is financed and administered by the Government.

The FfDO in Central America and the Caribbean has been giving support to the Guatemalan Government in the form of training and technical assistance.

The pilot programme includes different commodities and different types of milk. The Government plans to launch a permanent programme, double the size of the pilot, by January 2006.
