Tetra Pak customer Milkos runs S-cool Milk programme in Sarajevo

Milkos Dairy and Tetra Pak jointly approached the Sarajevo education authorities in 2009 to get approval for starting up a school milk programme in Sarajevo schools. The programme started in Febuary 2010 covering 10 schools initially and focusing on grades 1-5.

At present around 2000 children in 11 schools are covered. Milk is served in classrooms for the younger children and sold in school canteens to the older children. Parents pay for the milk, which is cheaper than milk sold in retail stores.
