School milk in Iran

The National Iranian School Milk Committee is implementing one of the largest school milk programmes in the world. The programme covers over ten million children all over Iran. The programme is led and fully financed by the government. Tetra Pak has been assisting in the development of the programme and has contributing with environmental education. was initiated by the government and has been developed in cooperation with Tetra Pak. A range of long term benefits are anticipated from the school milk programme, including improved scholastic and academic performances and a reduction in absenteeism.
