Tetra Pak and its partners celebrate World Milk Day
Today, on June 1, the 11th World Milk Day is celebrated around the world. The day provides an opportunity to focus attention on milk and to publicise activities connected with milk and the milk industry.

Many countries are celebrating milk days around this time of year and on request, FAO (the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations) proposed June 1 as a specific day on which all aspects of milk could be celebrated. Tetra Pak is an active partner in the celebrations in many countries.
Tetra Pak Vietnam cooperated with Department of Education-Training of Ho Chi Minh City & Hanoi to organized Environment – World Milk Festivals both in Hanoi (May 28) and in Ho Chi Minh City (May 26). The festivals well attended by 6,000 pupils and teachers. The Festivals are the summary of Environment-School Nutrition Educational Campaigns in 400 primary schools for school year 2010 - 2011 and also Festivals celebrating World Milk day. The Festivals provide activities including educational games about benefits of drinking milk, fun environment protection activities, and exhibitions of artwork handmade from used cartons, Environment activities, sing, dance & play performances on stage. To celebrate World Milk Day, all participants joined milk drinking moment in the Festivals.
Tetra Pak Iran and its partner National Nutrition Food Technology Research Institute jointly organise a three day milk festival in five major parks of Tehran and in a popular sports club in connection to World Milk Day.
In Paraguay, Tetra Pak has been invited by Dairy Farmers Association to give a presentation on our school milk experiences from around the world during the World Milk Day event celebrated in Asunción. Rafael Fabrega from Tetra Pak Food for Development Office, Central & South America Cluster, will speak to Government officials, dairy companies and other stakeholders in the milk sector.
