Tetra Pak has topped the KPI 7 Product Stewardship category at this year's Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) Awards.
The award acknowledges some of our packaging improvement and stewardship programs, including the introduction of the Tetra Rex® bio-based carton, made entirely from renewable materials, such as plant-based plastics derived from sugar cane. Tetra Pak also obtained FSC® Chain of Custody certification for the last seven of its 92 entities worldwide, and supplied over 300 million packages carrying the FSC® label in Oceania.

Tetra Pak Oceania Environment Manager Cheryl Speechley said the award is a testament to our commitment in driving environmental excellence.
"We continue to collaborate with our supply chain partners to develop more sustainable and better value packaging solutions for our customers, which plays to our 2020 strategy," she said.
APC CEO, Stan Moore said: "The APC is proud to acknowledge the work of our high performing signatories, who are leading the way in packaging sustainability and innovation."
The APC is a sustainable packaging initiative involving government, industry and community groups. Over 900 organisations are signatories.
