This section presents information on report content, corporate delivery data, our operations, reporting principles, a glossary of terms, and an explanation to units used in the report.

The Tetra Pak companies that report on their environmental performance worldwide include manufacturing facilities, R&D, market company offices and support companies. At the corporate level, the environmental data is presented as annual total values for the entire company. As environmental data is influenced by business growth, we also report on product deliveries.

For the different operational areas (see Our operations), we provide first the annual totals, and, for most parameters, also a ratio that reflects our eco-efficiency, where a lower value shows better performance. Our carton packaging material plants, for example, relate energy use to number of standard packages delivered.
