Life Cycle Assessments of Packaging
There has been a number of LCAs (Life Cycle Assessment) investigating the environmental impact of food packaging systems. In the examples below LCAs for various packaging products were undertaken by independent scientific institutes, using the internationally accepted standard method (the ISO 14040 series of standards). All studies were peer-reviewed.
