Tetra Hoyer Frigus KF-F
Reduce product waste and product “giveaway” by 33%
Focusing on continuous improvement of our main key components leads to big savings on raw materials for our customers.
Optimized start-up procedures and redesigned control loops reduce the start-up rework and waste dramatically. The improved control also gives a much more even output, closer to desired target.
The new generation of Tetra Hoyer Frigus F freezers means more sellable products per kg of ice cream mix and thus higher profit. This is achieved by decreasing the standard deviation on output and thus on the final ice cream product size from typically 1.5 percent with existing freezers to less than 1 percent with the new generation.
For a Tetra Hoyer Frigus KF2000F producing at 2,000 litres/hour, 4,000 hours per year, this means a reduction in raw material requirements – ice cream mix – by 40,000 litres, while also reducing running cost. Utilizing raw materials more efficiently also avoids environmental impact in the whole supply chain.
With a typical mix cost of € 1,500 per ton, this amounts to annual savings of € 66,000.
Alternatively, the ice cream producer can make more sellable products from the additional 40,000 litres of ice cream mix within the same available time and without extra costs for raw material.
