Since 2005, Tetra Pak has achieved a 9.8% absolute reduction of CO2 emissions, mainly by purchasing green power and making energy efficiency improvements. This information was verified by ECOFYS Germany GmbH on 14 April 2010:
"In summary, the monitoring system of Tetra Pak is essentially transparent, consistent and accurate. We have found no evidence that miss-statements and data gaps have material effects on the level of reported GHG emissions."
