Go Green Packaging

‘Go Green with Tetra Pak’ is an initiative to promote Recycling of Tetra Pak cartons at Sahakari Bhandar and Reliance Fresh retail chains in Mumbai. It aims at educating the consumers about the importance of environment and recycling by NGO RUR Greenlife – (Are you reducing, reusing, recycling?) and Tetra Pak. Since its inception in 2010, the initiative has resulted in the collection of over 1,500,000 used Tetra Pak cartons which have been recycled into more than 140 school desks for lesser-privileged schools, 50 community garden benches, and many other useful items.

The highlight of the initiative under its 'Bin Se Bench Tak' campaign donated 50 garden benches made from ‘fully recyclable’ Tetra Pak cartons of which 2 are prominently placed at Worli Sea face for Mumbaikars.

Objectives:

·         To raise awareness among the smart shoppers and members of the household about recycling.

·         To educate the consumers about the benefits of recycling.

·         To help the consumers to find a collection point where they can dispose the used carton beverages responsibly

Go Green with Tetra Pak has also been featured in the Limca Book of Records, 2013.
