1975
A major contract is signed with Iran, within the framework of an extensive social programme highlighting the protein supply. Iran has started a gigantic plan that would give the country's seven million schoolchildren a breakfast consisting of a portion of milk plus biscuits or fruits.
1976
The Tehran Pasteurized Milk Plant, the state dairy in the capital, has become one of the largest dairies in the world, planned for daily weigh-in of 500 tons. When the new plant was started up towards the end of 1976 it was already being run at 2/3rds of its total capacity.
1978
The world's largest programme for school milk in 1978 starts in Iran. 110 filling machines are installed throughout the country.
1979-1980
School milk programme continues in Iran until the imposed war was declared.
1981
Cream is introduced in 250 cc packages in Iran, which finds a domestic and export market.
2001
School Milk programme once again starts in Iran under the supervision of the School Milk Committee. This committee comprises various representatives from the Ministry of commerce, Jihad Agriculture, Education, health, ect. A total of 1.2 million school children are covered by this programme.
2004
The Tetra Prisma Aseptic is launched for the first time in Iran.
2006
The number of school children covered by the School Milk Programme, reaches
12 million and makes the School Milk Programme in Iran one of the largest in the world.
