2002 – China uses over 7 billion packages
China has a package growth exceeding 2.3 billion packages in one year, and is the largest market with delivery of close to 7.5 billion packages per year.
The Tetra Fino Aseptic 200 ml and 250 ml packages with straw holes make their first appearance, and we start to package soya products from the Tetra Ipps Soya 4000 B line.
2003 – Sharpen your senses
We launch the Sensory Straw with its fun image and concept of new drinking pleasure, the Sensory Straw is perfect for beverages for children, such as flavoured milk, juice and still drinks.
A new packaging system, Tetra Recart is born. Tetra Recart is the world’s first retortable carton-based processing and packaging system designed for shelf-stable food products with particles of almost any size – products traditionally packed in cans, glass jars and pouches.
2005 – Get fruity
Tetra Therm Aseptic Sensa, based on a new technology for blending and pasteurisation of fruit-based beverages is launched.
We introduce a new standard of packaging material for all ambient and roll-fed chilled liquid product packages that is stronger, 20 per cent thinner and requires fewer polymers to produce.
2006 – Emphasizing cost-efficiency
Tetra Pak A1 filling machine is the world’s most cost-efficient with a capacity of 9,200.
Tetra Therm Lacta milk pasteuriser offers an overall energy reduction of up to 12 per cent. It is a platform based unit for liquid dairy products.
Tetra Gemina Aseptic is introduced. It is the world’s first roll-fed gable top shaped package with full aseptic performance for both juice and liquid dairy based products.
2007 – Hello Tetra Gemina
The first deliveries of Tetra Gemina Aseptic to Spain.
We are on target to reduce CO2 emissions by 10 per cent in absolute terms by 2010, according to our Environmental and Social Report.
Euro 60 million investment in state-of-the-art packaging material manufacturing plant in Hohhot, China.
