Tetra Pak Japan consists of 2 companies - Nihon Tetra Pak K.K. and one company in charge of manufacturing - Gotemba Tetra Pak L.L.C..
In addition, we have 5 regional offices throughout Japan. Through exchanging information frequently and closely, we are continuously working to improve various types of technologies and services.


In 1962, Tetra Pak started its corporate activity in Japan. We will continue to exercise leadership in the field of food packaging supplies and also as corporate citizens who contribute to realizing a sustainable global environment.

1962 Tetra Pak (Japan) Ltd. established

1965 Tetra Classic Aseptic System introduced 

1967 Tetra Brik System introduced

1969 Tetra Rex System introduced 

1970 Tetra Brik Aseptic System introduced

1971 Gotemba Factory started production of packaging material 

1976 The company name changed to Tetra Pak K.K.

1979 Establishment of a market company, Nihon Tetra Pak K.K.
        The company name changed to Gotemba Tetra Pak K.K.
        Establishment of a production company, Seishin Tetra Pak K.K. 

1981 Seishin Factory started production of packaging material

1993 Tetra Laval Group established
        Seishin and Gotemba Tetra Pak K.K. certified to ISO9002 

1995 Head office of Nihon Tetra Pak K.K. moved to Kioicho

1997 Seishin and Gotemba Tetra Pak K.K. EMS ISO14001 certified 

1998 Nihon Tetra Pak K.K. EMS ISO14001 certified

1999 New Technical Center in Gotemba inaugurated
        Environmental Cooperation Agreement (recycling promotion)
        with Shinei Seishi Group
 

2000 Environmental Cooperation Agreement (recycling promotion)

2001 Milk Carton Recycling - Composition/Handicraft Contest held 

2002 Exhibition "Tetra Day 2002" held

        Exhibition of prize-winners works from Milk Carton handcraft Contest

        Consumer promotion “Baby forest project” held. 10000 seedlings given away
        The fifth Milk Carton handcraft Contest held
        Seishin plant closed, unified the production into Gotemba plant. 

2006 Present campaign for consumers and transportation advertisement to raise
        their awareness of ecological advantage of paper packaging and friendliness
        "Original Eco Towel &Eco bag" co-produced with WWF Japan
