​​​​​Up Close & Personal with Tetra Pak® Services for Customers in Malaysia and Philippines​

Customers in Malaysia and the Philippines were given an up-close and personal look into Tetra Pak® Services at the ‘Quality and Plant Optimisation Seminar’ held recently in Kuala Lumpur and Manila. The full-day events allowed beverage manufacturers gain the latest trends and expert insights on quality, production and maintenance.

Brian May, Managing Director, Tetra Pak Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines (MSP) welcomed the attendees and spoke about the importance of driving food safety and quality. In addition to Brian’s welcome remarks, Nge Chen Wee, Technical Key Account Director, Tetra Pak MSP also gave an overview of Tetra Pak Services and what to expect throughout the day.  

The whole day seminar started off with a plenary session featuring two keynote presentations. Focusing on a structured approach to ensure food safety and quality, the first presenter, Dhurandhar Hulyalkar, Tetra Pak Quality Assurance Manager, discussed Systematic Quality Assurance Management in Aseptic Production. This was followed by a presentation on Plant Improvement and Optimisation by Mr. Gary Whitehead, Tetra Pak Expert Services Manager, Asia, wherein he showcased how Tetra Pak® Services offers a complete portfolio of services for customers’ operational needs. 

Switching from the plenary session format, the afternoon part of the seminar gave way to the booth exhibitions and breakout seminars. The booth exhibitions allowed groups of customers to visit booths highlighting the following Tetra Pak® Services: Parts, Maintenance Services, Expert Services, Training Services, Consumables and Upgrades. 

As customers went from booth to booth, they had the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts who came from various market companies across Tetra Pak’s global organisation. To encourage interactive and open discussions, members from the local Tetra Pak teams were also present to help provide local context and insights. 

After the booth exhibitions, customers proceeded to the specific subject seminars they have selected prior to the event. Joining the topics which they felt would best benefit their businesses, customers each chose two topics out of the three available topics---Building Competence-Assess, Train and Certify, Journey to a Successful Aseptic Production and Maximising Operational Performance and Profitability.  

The seminar ended with a festive Q&A Lucky Draw where lucky customers won an Apple iPod Nano, an Apple watch and an Apple iPad Mini. ​​
