Children and Tetra Pak
Tetra Pak believes that a healthy lifestyle begins from an early age and strives to cultivate, nourish and introduce improvement in the dietary conditions of children who make up a third of our population and are our future.
Why Feed-A-Child?
In line with its motto “PROTECTS WHAT’S GOOD,”™ Tetra Pak, developed the Feed-A-Child programme (FAC) in 2006. FAC has since been the Company’s primary channel to raise funds to exclusively help underprivileged children. These funds are exclusively dedicated to providing Malaysian children with the holistic development that they deserve.
Objectives of Feed-A-Child programme
How does Feed-A-Child work?
Tetra Pak raises funds via event partnerships with customers, internal events and product sales. Tetra Pak’s Feed-A-Child pack is available at every Tetra Pak event where all proceeds go to charity. In 2007, Tetra Pak opened the young minds of 40 exuberant children from Shelter Home with a day-out at the Swedish Innovations Exhibition at IKANO Power Centre. Besides learning, the children were treated to a fun-filled day at Lake Titiwangsa and also went for a ride on the Eye of Malaysia. In 2008, when Tetra Pak launched the ‘Milk Loves You!’ campaign, the children were also involved in the campaign initiatives. Via the Feed-A-Child Pledge, Tetra Pak and their customers committed to donate UHT milk to underprivileged children. The initiative enabled at least 400 children to receive daily supply of milk for more than 6 months.
