Policy and goals

We are committed to running our business in an environmentally sound and sustainable manner.

We set goals for continuous improvement in our development, sourcing, manufacturing, and transportation activities. As part of that commitment, we take a long term and life cycle view, continually improving environmental performance, communicating openly with our stakeholders and reporting regularly on our performance.

These principles are enshrined in our Environmental Policy.

Our Environmental Policy describes our environmental commitment at every step in the consumption and production chain - from society to raw materials.

Our environmental commitments and goals are embedded in Tetra Pak's mission, strategy and code of business conduct.

Our mission

We believe in responsible industry leadership, creating profitable growth in harmony with environmental sustainability and good corporate citizenship.

Our code of business conduct

Climate Goal

Tetra Pak has set an aggressive climate goal. By 2010, we will achieve a 10% reduction of CO2 emissions compared to 2005, in absolute terms.

Other procedures and guidelines

Factory waste procedure: defines how to handle waste from our converting factories.

Forestry Guideline

Defines how we track sources of paperboard material (for more information see Forestry and materials).

Our aim is to establish Tetra Pak as an environmentally responsible company offering environmentally preferred packaging and processing systems.
