Whether for taste, refreshment, energy or nutritional value, fruit juices are ever popular. In particular, orange juice is an excellent source of vitamin C as it helps to maintain a healthy immune system and keeps our skin and gums healthy and aids iron absorption.

Did you know 200 ml of orange juice …

  • contains a whole day’s requirement of vitamin C?
  • equals one of your five daily portions of fruit and vegetables, as recommended by health and medical experts?
  • and long-life pasteurised orange juice is as healthy as freshly squeezed orange juice?

However, without knowing it, consumers could be depriving themselves
of the benefit of much of the vitamin C in orange juice. That’s because,
if subject to high storage temperatures or exposed to oxygen, the quality
of the orange juice can deteriorate, resulting in:
