Aseptic buffering

The aseptic buffering is placed between the aseptic treatment and the filling line(s). The pressurised sterile tank provides a buffer, or intermediate storage, of product whilst maintaining an unbroken aseptic environment.

The benefits of aseptic buffering are manifold:

• superior product quality (there is no reprocessing of product in case of filler stops)
• efficient line utilisation (continued pasteuriser operation during filler interruptions)
