Sugar dissolving and storage
Sugar is an essential part of soft drinks production. Preparation of a concentrated sugar solution from granulated sugar is either done batch-wise in tanks, or in a compact continuous system.
The continuous sugar dissolving process is combined with pasteurisation of the sugar solution, which maximises energy recovery. When needed, other treatment, such as deaeration and polishing filters, are integrated in the process. The sugar concentration is automatically controlled at the desired level, commonly at 65°Brix.
