Open up to less package
In general, cartons involve a lot less packaging material in relation to the product they protect. For instance, they’re almost twice as efficient as an egg shell. Their combination of strength and light weight means fewer trucks – and less fuel – are needed to transport them. Less fuel, less space, less energy = less green house gas emissions.
Wondering about the manufacturing process? Between 2002 and 2005, our manufacturing plant in Denton, TX cut energy consumption by 27% and we are commited to a global goal of reducing our CO2 emissions by 10% by 2010.
When it comes to filling the cartons, Environmental Product Declarations show that Tetra Pak machines require five times less energy than their plastic counterparts.
