Pilot Plant

 Our Process Development Center conducts custumer trials in close collaboration with the customer in the following areas:

• Process development
• Recipe development
• Aseptic filling
• In house testing of new processing and filling equipment

The mission is: Support to convert ideas into commercially viable consumer products through innovative R&D activities.

 
Example on trials performed

Dairy Ambient; white milk & cream, formulated products ex. flavored milk, fermented milk products, concentrated and condensed milk and ice cream mix.

Dairy Chilled; ESL - products, yoghurt, drinking yoghurt, milk/flavored milk and recombined products.

Prepared food; soups, sauces, tomato, rice and cereal based applications, beans and fruit preparations.

Beverages; juices, soft drinks, soya based beverages, malt products, juice/milk and juice/soya products.
 
 
 

The Plant, heat treatment

 Tetra Therm Aseptic Pilot - UHT treatment of high and low acid products:

• Capacity: 300 l/h
• Suggested batch size: 20+ liters
• Ability to process/package 15+ variables per day 
• Thermal treatment: Traditional HTST Pasteurization, ESL, shelf-stable Aseptic (70 to 150C temperatures)
• Holding time adjustable from 2 to 60+ seconds
• Indirect heating in plate & frame or tubular heat exchangers
• Direct heating by steam injection 

Filling: Product is manually filled in pre-sterilized plastic bottles, in a HEPA-filtered environment.

Tetra Therm Aseptic Flex and VTIS. Capable of producing shelf-stable, aseptically processed & packaged products :

• Up to 2000 l/h processing rate 
• Suggested batch size: 300-1500 liters
• Ability to process/package up to 8 variables per day 
• Indirect heating in plate & frame or tubular heat exchangers 
• Direct heating by steam injection or infusion 
• Filling: Product is manually filled in pre-sterilized plastic bottles, in a HEPA-filtered environment
