Soy and Tea extraction
Tetra Alwin Soy
The Tetra Alwin Soy is a Soya Extraction system for the continuous extraction of soya base from whole or dehulled soya beans. It is a flexible system that is able to produce both a beany-taste soyamilk for traditional markets or a low beany-taste soyamilk.
The Tetra Alwin Soy does not involve soaking or blanching. This means a lower water consumption and as a result, less effluent to the environment in terms of waste water discharge.
The Tetra Alwin Soy extraction system may be classified into the following major sections:
- Grinding
- Fibre Separation
- Enzyme Deactivation
These sections are integrated into a complete extraction system to produce a soya base with a high protein content and high nutritional value.
After extraction, the soyabase is then formulated, UHT treated and packaged in a Tetra Pak Aseptic filling equipment.
Single-Pass Tea Extraction System
Tetra Pak’s single-pass tea extraction system is a semi-continuous system for extracting good quality RTD tea from tea leaves. The tea extract is cooled, clarified (where required) and formulated, heat treated and packaged in downstream processing equipment.
The extraction process can be divided into the following steps :
- batching in tea leaves
- filling the extractor with water and wetting tea leaves
- continuous extraction
- stopping and recovery of extract in extractor
- discharge spent tea leaves
- prepare next extraction cycle
