Tetra Pak Acquires Chaswill Process Technology

Acquisition strengthens Tetra Pak’s ability to offer solutions for food production
Tetra Pak the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions provider, today announced that it has acquired Chaswill Process Technology (Pty) Ltd, a leading process engineering company in South Africa with experience in food and beverage production.

The acquisition adds expertise in engineering, automation and project execution resources and thereby supports Tetra Pak’s growth ambition in the region, its ability in providing customers with complete production solutions for food production and its long term commitment to making food safe and available, everywhere.
The acquisition will enable Tetra Pak to better serve its customers within the market segments dairy, beverage, prepared food, ice cream and cheese.

“This acquisition and integration of resources will help us strengthen and accelerate the growth of our business in South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa”, said Tim High, President Tetra Pak Processing Systems.
The operation will remain in Cape Town and continue to work under the name of Tetra Pak Chaswill.

Chaswill Process Technology is a project management and engineering company, located in Cape Town South Africa. They have for over 20 years executed a large number of projects in the beverage, prepared food and dairy industries in South Africa and Sub Sahara Africa.

The company has a staff of 42, and will continue to operated form the existing premises in Cape Town which includes stainless steel assembly workshop.
