WPC 34

Sweet whey is generated as a dilute liquid by-product of cheese making, which contains lactose, proteins and minerals.The sweet whey may be fractionated using membranes.

The most common product using this process results in a liquid stream that contains at least 34% protein on a dry matter basis. The concentrated form is spray dried into a powder. The concentrate is referred to as WPC 34, or 34% whey protein concentrate.
