Tetra Pak was founded on the idea that a package should save more than it costs. Armed with this mindset today, we are committed to reduce the environmental footprint of our products and services, and consistently pursue and initiate collective actions that will help create a sustainable tomorrow without compromising food safety or quality.
Our approach to sustainability encompasses the entire value chain and we believe in transparent and active communication of our priorities and actions.
Late 2019, we commissioned a study on the environmental performance of cartons (entire life cycle) against other types of packaging, across various sizes and categories – fresh milk, ling-life milk, juice, water and food. In summary, the results of this study indicate that cartons have the lowest carbon footprint of all beverage and food packaging systems available on the Australian and New Zealand markets at present.
