Take advantage of the Tetra Recart® mobile test unit

If you have a product you would like to test in Tetra Recart packages, it needs to be done on a Tetra Recart line. But you don’t have to come to us. We can send a mobile unit to you. Together, we can package and heat treat your products in the Tetra Recart mobile unit using your local raw ingredients, your kitchen and your regular food preparation techniques. It’s as close to real commercial production conditions as you can get. We provide small or large-scale mobile units, depending on your needs.

Customer testing out products

Here’s how it works:

  1. We provide detailed advance information on utilities and space requirements.
  2. We arrange for the unit to be shipped to your site
  3. We send an installation engineer to be on site when the unit arrives and to help set it up
  4. Once the installation is complete, a food technologist and/or a product development chef can come and help you get started with your trials (usually for a week or two).
  5. You can then run the unit independently for an agreed time before Tetra Pak engineers come back to disassemble it.

On-site facilities for hands-on experience

By using one of our mobile test units, you gain a detailed understanding of how your product works in Tetra Recart packages. You can explore ways to customize your recipes and revitalize your brand – all without disturbing your own production, at minimal cost and in the shortest possible time.

Small scale for testing and development

Choose our small-scale unit if you want samples to present internally, or plan to evaluate several different recipes. The Tetra Recart test unit needs a connection to steam, water electricity, air and of course, a drain. On this scale, we have manual machines that form the package to be manually filled and then returned to the machine for sealing.

Large scale for bulk samples

Choose our larger unit if you need hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of packages of the same products to show to customers, retailers or tasting panels. You still prepare ingredients in your own kitchen, then form, fill and seal in the automatic Tetra Recart mobile unit. The unit it not as big as our full-size commercial equipment, but still has a throughput of up to 600 packages per hour.
