The climate change is one of the greatest existential threats that humanity has faced. The crisis is urgent and demands collective action. At Tetra Pak we take our responsibility seriously, and we believe that the food and drinks packaging industry have an important role to play.
Our ambition is to create fully recyclable packages that are made entirely from renewable sources and contributes to a low-carbon circular economy, without ever compromising food safety. It is our strong belief that plant-based materials are the future of the packaging industry, and that we must collaborate to succeed.
We are committed to finding sustainable innovations and improving recycling rates for our packages all over the world. For more than two decades we have been working with governments, business partners and NGO´s across many of the 170 customer countries in which we operate to drive the change.
Our report, Positive Packaging: Towards a Low Carbon Future, sheds light on the people power and consumer demand. The study also covers evolving attitudes of food and drink retailers. Most importantly, the report looks at the commitments we must make to ensure packaging can help deliver on both a low-carbon circular economy and the climate goals.
