Bent foil treater
By heating and flattening the straw sleeve, the bent foil treater improves straw adhesion to the package.
Fully integrated in the electrical cabinet with automatic activation, the capacity of the bent foil treater in the Tetra Pak® Straw Applicator 40 is higher, and the start-up time is lower, leading to an overall improvement in efficiency.*
Moreover, optimised heat distribution generates
a uniform temperature and consequently improves the quality of the straws.

Servo driven top support
A simplified mechanism for changing the height of packages enables more efficient package control.
Ladderband feeder
Driven by a servo motor, the feeder tracks the ladderband and keeps the tension level both constant and correct. This eliminates the risk of ladderbands getting broken, contributing to an overall performance improvement.
Straw detector
An integrated part for Tetra Pak® E3/Speed Hyper lines, the straw detector recognises and immediately rejects any package which does not have a straw, or which has a misplaced straw. This ensures that straws are always accurately positioned as well as preventing problems from occurring downstream.
Electronic hotmelt guns
The electric hot melt guns (Robatech Hot Melt System) are faster and more accurate than those with a pneumatic system and have a longer lifetime.
Since they are electric, no air pressure is required. Air consumption is reduced from 135 Nl/min to 50 Nl/min) and hot melt consumption is reduced from 40g to 30 g/1000 p – both of which contribute to lower TCO.
The Robatech interface is integrated in the Tetra Pak® Straw Applicator 40 HMI.
Infeed belt brake
Thanks to an improved motion profile, the infeed belt brake maintains a constant distance between packages and optimises the handling of package queues.
The result is a smoother application and fewer rejected packages.
Graphical user interface
This task-oriented user interface is standardised all the way from the factory floor to plant supervision. It reaches across mobile devices, control room, packaging and processing equipment, and human-machine interaction (HMI).
