Flexible heat exchanger set-up
High viscous products (or low viscous, high heat products) typically require tubular heat exchangers, which are capable of processing up to 140°C. Plate heat exchangers are more suitable for low viscous products. The Tetra Pak® Pasteurizer PFC offers a flexible heat exchanger configuration so you can process a broad range of prepared food products.
Automated and optimized emptying and filling
The automation of machine emptying and filling functions is very precise, thanks to a control system which measures the concentration of product to water much more accurately than is possible with manual operation. The reduction in product waste, and hence cost savings, is dramatic. We’ve calculated that producers can save between €17,000 – 35,000 per year – assuming four product changes and a revenue of €1/litre product.
Modular equipment design
The machine is modular. It is tested and validated prior to delivery, and based on proven line concepts that have been designed for prepared food applications. This means the time required for delivery, commissioning and start-up of production are all shortened by up to 20% compared with a fully customized solution. This helps minimize the time it takes to launch a new product on the market.
Flexible degree of automation
Depending on the customer’s unique situation, we can offer different degrees of automation. Stand-alone automation gives you information about temperatures, flows and alarms, for a minimum investment. A full line solution makes it possible to access information about all the equipment including the mixer, tanks and of course the pasteurizer itself. A third option is to have the entire factory site integrated into a single supervisory system Tetra PlantMaster, showing how all your lines are operating.
