Science and Innovation Talks

To inspire a creative and innovative mindset and to further build on our strengths, we’ve renewed and extended our collaboration with Lund University, a globally top-100 ranked institution, with disciplines including Science, Engineering, Economics and Management, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Together, we continue to explore future-focused solutions in areas such as food technology, packaging materials, and circular systems. By sharing knowledge and combining expertise, we work to ensure our place at the forefront of research and innovation so we can deliver solutions that not only meet the needs of our customers but drive their business forward.

Food resilience, future readiness - strengthening food supply chains through innovation

In an increasingly unpredictable world, ensuring our food systems are prepared for disruption is more important than ever. From climate change and geopolitical instability to supply chain vulnerabilities, the challenges to global food security are growing. At the same time, the need for resilient and forward-looking solutions is becoming urgent.

This edition of Science and Innovation Talks on 18 November brings together experts from Lund University and Tetra Pak to explore how science, technology and collaboration can help strengthen food supply chains. The session will focus on food system resilience, the role of alternative proteins, and the importance of shelf-stable solutions when cold chains are disrupted.

We will also hear how the FORCE research centre is advancing innovation in food preparedness, including new approaches to packaging, protein sources and food safety. The session will highlight how industry and academia are working together to turn research into practical solutions that support both readiness and sustainability.
