When investing in a new solution, there is a lot to think about. How can you, for example, trust your chosen suppliers to deliver and on their commitments? How can you be confident that the equipment your supplier delivers will offer sustainable operational performance? Trust, of course, is not something that merely is regulated through the contract. Performance targets, warranties, and available service agreements and support ensure delivery, function and consistent performance over time – in a formalised way.
Read on to find out how the guarantees and warranties we provide have the power to give you peace of mind – both in the short and the long run.
Warranties are used to ensure the delivered equipment is of the quality that is expected. Any issues concerning mechanical quality, safe operation, or that the equipment meets legal requirements for use, are covered by the warranty. Most equipment warranty issues appear quickly once production is started. These issues are covered by our standard warranty period of one year. For some products, the warranty period can be extended with the inclusion of a service agreement (read more about service agreements below).
As an integrated solution provider, we include our full scope of supply in the warranty to you as our customer. We stand behind our products and our sub suppliers’ products to provide security that the full solution will have the quality you expect.
Prior to the start of the warranty period, we have a robust commissioning process to test the equipment and functionality through all possible steps and scenarios. This ensures safe operation and that the equipment produces safe products.
At the completion of the commissioning, the machine can start to produce food (or beverages).
We provide industry leading equipment and technology, and use performance targets to ensure the equipment is operating as committed. The performance targets – which are agreed with you as our customer – measure specific parameters that demonstrate the efficiency of the equipment. These targets are equipment specific, but can include parameters such as runtime, product losses and/or utility consumption. The performance targets are normally tested during commercial production. The purpose of performance guarantees is to establish trust – you can rest assured that we will be around to make the machines work in an optimal way and perform at – or above! – their expected level of operational efficiency.
We continue to stand behind our equipment and solutions throughout the life of the equipment. Consistent operation is not enough. We understand that you, our customer, continuously and constantly need to do more; to improve, to reduce operational costs and to increase plant efficiency. Additionally, skills shortages are common all over the world today.
A service agreement is a convenient way to ensure long-term performance, maintenance and that the operational conditions of the equipment are in line with recommendations. We offer several types of service agreements.
With a basic maintenance contract, a technician will come to your plant at regular intervals to service your machine. But we go far beyond that. There are also agreements with a more holistic approach, where our specialists work to optimise, increase availability and maintain or improve the performance of your whole production line. We can guarantee the agreed KPIs and if your operation does not meet the targets, we “share the pain” by reducing the cost.
With a Tetra Pak service agreement, you can be assured you will have highly skilled and experienced experts that look after your production solution and offer support to your operators. Our service agreements are warranted and ensure the long-term operational efficiency of our customers’ equipment.
We ensure our equipment delivers throughout the project. We support our delivery with an experienced project management organisation, from the creation of your plant design all the way through production. Our focus is not just on time and on budget, but also on ensuring the equipment meets the quality and performance levels agreed with you.
When you know how your equipment will perform, you also know the operating costs and will not get any unwelcome surprises when it comes to your total cost of ownership (TCO).
Furthermore, you know that we are there for you all throughout the lifecycle of your plant. We service your production solution and make sure it performs consistently throughout the life of the equipment. Our services organisation will help you rest assured that your operations are optimised – and that they will stay that way.
At Tetra Pak we commit to making food safe and available, everywhere. We stand behind the quality and efficiency of our equipment.
