On 1st July 2013, a new market company, Tetra Pak Arabia Area, was formed comprising the territories previously covered by Tetra Pak Arabia and Tetra Pak East Med, which included (KSA, Yemen, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Palestine.) In other words, the GCC and Levant region combined into one market company covering 12 countries, 7 locations, 1 converting factory and 1 straw factory. The carton converting factory in Tetra Pak Arabia is located in south of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Tetra Pak supplies most of the carton packaging material for Saudi Arabia and exports to customers in 24 other countries in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Tetra Pak’s Jeddah factory is one of the best Tetra Pak factories in the world.
In 2013, the factory was awarded the Factory of the Year Award, an achievement which was made possible through our endless pursuit of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) mindset. Jeddah factory is certified with ISO 14001 and undertakes various environmental activities such as waste recycling and efficient energy management. During January 2015, the Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) officially certified Tetra Pak’s Jeddah factory as a recipient of the JIPM special award.
