As part of Tetra Pak’s efforts to increase the recycling rate of Used Beverage Cartons (UBC) in Singapore, we focus on raising consumer awareness, sharing our knowledge and expertise, facilitating collection infrastructure and supporting recycling technology development through community recycling activities.

When recycling Used Beverage Cartons (UBC), we encourage people to rinse & push the straw back or put the cap back on the package and do the 3Fs – Flip. Flap. Flat before dropping it off at the recycling drop off center. The recovered materials can be made into notepads, roofing sheets and school benches.

Jurong Cash-For-Trash Community Recycling Programme

Tetra Pak started working with the Public Waste Collector of Jurong on Community Recycling Programme since 2013. The number of recycling collection points in Jurong under the programme will be extended to 30 and will be held every 1st Sunday of the month.

Kolam Ayer RC Recycling Drive

The recycling journey of Kolam Ayer has been a passionately sustainable one. Since 2014, Tetra Pak has been collaborating with the organiser Kolam Ayer Resident Committee (RC) to promote and collect used beverage carton recycling in Bendeemer estate.

With the support from Kolam Ayer's public waste collector, recyclables are collected at ease after each recycling drive. Collection schedules are subject to changes due to Covid-19 pandemic. Please contact us for most updated schedules. The collection drives are monthly on second Sundays (except some on bi-monthly second Sundays) all year round by the following participating RCs:

  • Kallang Bahru RC

Tzu Chi Community Recycling Drive

Tzu Chi Foundation is one of our most active partner in recycling in Singapore. To date, 39 recycling collection points are operating on Sundays, once a month to receive recyclables neatly packed by residents islandwide.

Tetra Pak Singapore is honoured to partner with Tzu Chi Foundation from May 2015 to promote recycling importance of used beverage cartons (UBCs) with residents. Exhibition booths will be set up and rotate among the collection points to showcase recycling messages and items that can be made from recycled UBCs.
