Automatic Strip Splicing

Quality splicing

Enables correct, repeatable splicing of longitudinal strip reels, and at the same time makes the operation less labour intensive. The reels are exchanged approximately every 1.45 hours.

The production is easily managed through a Tetra Pak Operator Panel (TPOP) system on the ground level. All major functions can be initiated and supervised - from production preparation to the Cleaning in Place (CIP) function.

The packaging line monitoring system (PLMS) enables tracking of production performance, such as possible stop reasons, efficiencies, waste levels.

Packaging material in-feed

Long production runs raise efficiency

Each unit holds a jumbo reel of packaging material with sufﬁcient supply for just above three hours of production when running at the higher speed, and four hours of production at the lower speed. A jumbo reel holds sufﬁcient material for up to 44,000 packages (Tetra Fino® Aseptic 200 ml).

Fully automatic splicing unit

Neat seal between reels

The splicing unit heats and pressurises the packaging material to automatically make a neat seal between one reel and the next, so package production can continue uninterrupted.

Aseptic system

For reliable sterilisation of packaging material

Consists of a shallow hydrogen peroxide bath, squeegee rollers and a heating chamber. Rollers distribute the hydrogen peroxide evenly; controlled heating and evaporation give effective sterilisation. Control of aseptic parameters ensures product protection and minimises the risk of operator errors.

Micro Injection Moulding concept for a functional opening

Injection Moulding Unit (IMU) on pre-laminate hole (PLH) for Micro Injection Moulding (MiM) opening on Tetra Fino® Aseptic 100 Ultra

The Tetra Pak® A1 for Tetra Fino® Aseptic with IMU is a robust solution, based on proven technologies of Injection Moulding and A1 platform. The flat packaging material with a pre-laminated hole is fed into the IMU and therein the MiM opening is injected through the PLH using the injection moulding technology. The filling machine has a capacity of 9,800 packages/hour.

HIGH VISCOSITY ASEPTIC (HVA) KIT (Tetra Pak A1)

The HVA kit makes it possible to fill viscous products such as tomato paste.

This is made possible by a synchronous aseptic positive pump which is controlled by the double loop filling control system of the Tetra Pak A1 filling machine. The unit can be connected or disconnected as needed, so producers can alternate easily between viscous and other kinds of products.
