We recognise the importance of a culture focused on health, safety, and well-being1, with initiatives in occupational health and safety (OHS) to ensure safe working conditions for all employees.
With almost 25,000 employees across 86 sales offices and 51 product plants in over 160 countries, Tetra Pak is committed to safeguarding our workforce, no matter where they are. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees with comprehensive occupational health and safety measures.
We strive for a truly diverse workforce, where every employee is respected, included, engaged, offered fair opportunities, and treated equally, regardless of background.
We are committed to ensure the occupational health and safety of our employees, contractors, visitors and anyone who may be affected by our operations. Our goal is to maintain a safe and healthy environment and continually reduce accidents and work‑related ill health. Our Occupational Health and Safety Policy outlines the approach to achieve this ambition. To measure our progress against this aim, we regularly track and benchmark our Total Recordable Accident Rate (TRAR). In 2025, our Total Recordable Accident Rate (TRAR) continued to fall and we achieved a rate of 1.57, down from 1.63 in 2024. This is a 4% reduction since 2024, and a 25% reduction in TRAR since 2022.
Employee health and mental well-being are strong global focuses across the company. Our mental well-being programme was established, equipping people with tools, training, and support services to raise awareness and destigmatise mental health issues:
Support is offered via an external Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), 24/7, and is open to all employees and their families for emotional support or counselling.
In 2024, our global Learning Conference included a Health and Wellbeing track delivering eight separate wellbeing-related sessions, covering topics such as menopause, good sleep, financial wellbeing and work-life balance.
For Tetra Pak to continue to be successful and grow, we recognise that all individuals who work here must also grow too, which means fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
From attracting new talent through our Future Talent Programme to promoting learning and development of existing talent, through courses, new roles and challenges.
