Yes, Tetra Pak® cartons are recyclable!
In the dairy industry, separators are used to separate milk into cream and skimmed milk. They also separate particles from fruit juice so it becomes clear, and therefore more appetizing to some consumers.
Other applications for separation include spore removal, whey treatment and anhydrous milk fat production. Tetra Pak separators are hermetically sealed, both at the inlet and the outlet. This prevents the intake of air that could damage the product being processed.
As the spindle rotates with the bowl, the product enters the bowl smoothly. This ensures the integrity of the fat globules and particles. In the bowl, the cream is led to the centre, while the skimmed milk exits the bowl over the top disc. Any unwanted particles are collected at the periphery and discharged. At the outlets, two pumps rotate together to efficiently convey the product to the next step in the process.
