Our focus areas
Food systems
Food systems are at the heart of our sustainability agenda. As a leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, we play a vital role in protecting the quality and safety of perishable foods by continuously improving food security and reducing food loss and waste, while improving livelihoods and increasing access to food. We collaborate with stakeholders across our value chain, to collectively shape a more sustainable, secure, equitable and resilient global food system for generations to come.
Circularity
We take a holistic approach when it comes to circularity, by increasing the use of recycled and renewable materials and expanding collection and recycling to keep materials in use. Our equipment is built for ongoing upgrades to ensure its lifetime can be extended and performance enhanced, and we are committed to collaborate with leading associations to further strengthen the circular economy.
Climate
The food industry has a crucial role to play in mitigating climate change, and we remain committed to playing our part. With the help of our suppliers, customers and other value chain players, we are working to reduce environmental impact at every step of the value chain.
Nature
Global food systems and our value chain depend on nature. We work with our own operations, suppliers and customers to reduce the impacts of our value chain on nature, strengthen water resilience and restore and maintain landscapes and biodiversity.
Social sustainability
We strive to improve the livelihoods of people across the world by giving access to safe food; contributing to economic growth; and respecting human rights in our workplaces, our value chain, and the communities we operate in. We also consider the importance of a just transition and the interdependencies between decarbonisation strategies and their impact on people in our value chain.
