Tetra Laval Group donates €10,000 to Irish organistions towards COVID-19 relief efforts

The global COVID-19 outbreak has brought about never-before challenges in our daily lives, and we remain deeply concerned for all those affected by the pandemic.
In order to support the country’s collective response to this crisis, Tetra Pak, Sidel and DeLaval, will jointly donate €5,000 to Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services and €5,000 to Irish Red Cross with a view to support the health care system/COVID-19 relief efforts in Ireland.

The contribution to Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services and the Irish Red Cross is intended for the support of medical and health care activities, medicines and equipment.

“We are very grateful to receive this generous donation from Tetra Pak, Sidel and DeLaval,” says Eleanor Flew, Director of Fundraising & Communications, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, Harold’s Cross, Blackrock and Wicklow, Ireland. Our front line teams are working round the clock to navigate the challenges each day brings and to make sure we protect and care for our patients in their homes and in our hospices throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Our patients are in the high risk category of Covid-19 as their immune systems are much more compromised, so it’s vitally important we are there for them, making sure they continue to receive expert care and reassurance at this very critical time. Demand continues to rise for our care and we need to be there for those that need us. This much-needed donation will go towards helping our patients and on behalf of them and their loved ones, thank you.”

"We'd like to thank Tetra Pak, Sidel and DeLaval for their generous donation to the Irish Red Cross. On a local, national and international level, the Irish Red Cross has been coming to the aid of vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 crisis. Donations such as these help to ensure our vital work within communities can continue" says Jocelino Jorge, Head of Fundraising, Irish Red Cross.

This forms part of the Tetra Laval Group’s recent donation of €10 million to support global COVID-19 relief efforts.

We remain fully committed to play our part in ensuring continuous food supplies in the country, while maintaining important measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees and all those involved in our operations.
We are extremely thankful to our employees, customers and partners for their relentless contribution during these difficult times, and we pledge our full support to the government, industry and communities in tackling this extraordinary situation.
