We recognise the importance of a culture focused on health, safety, and wellbeing, with initiatives in occupational health and safety (OHS) to ensure safe working conditions for all employees.
With more than 24,100 employees in 111 offices and 36 factories spread over 78 countries, we work hard to ensure the safety and well-being of our workforce across geographic boundaries. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees with comprehensive occupational health and safety measures.
Our continued efforts on OHS over the past few years have contributed to a 19% reduction in our Total Recordable Accident Rate compared to 20212. For example, we have continued the implementation of our global software platform My OHS, to deliver OHS support to our employees and agency workers, and we launched a virtual course to further raise OHS competency in critical positions.
Employee health and mental wellbeing is a strong focus across the company globally. Our mental well-being programme was established equipping people with tools, trainings, and support services to raise awareness and de-stigmatise mental health issues.
In 2022, over 3,000 employees accessed and engaged with our Mental Wellbeing portal with an additional 3,200 completing the training programme. We strive for a truly diverse workforce, where every employee is respected, included, engaged, offered fair opportunities, and treated equally, regardless of background.
As part of our global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy, in 2022, we trained an additional 150 leaders through our Inclusive Leadership training, which aims to create awareness of individual biases and to foster an inclusive environment. And we are deploying initiatives through our local and regional DEI Panels.
For Tetra Pak to continue to be successful and grow, we recognise that all individuals who work here must also grow too, which means fostering a culture of continuous improvement. From attracting new talent through our Future Talent Programme to promoting learning and development of existing talent, through courses, new roles and challenges.
