PACKS THAT GROW BACK

Our cartons are mainly made from paperboard, which comes from trees. Wood fibre is a great raw material, because well managed forests like the ones we source from are continuously growing as new trees replace the ones that are harvested. What’s even better is that as trees grow, they remove CO₂ from the air, which helps reduce the impact of climate change.

GOOD CARTONS COME FROM GOOD FORESTS

We take great care when we source the raw materials that go into our packaging. And paperboard is the main one we use. All our cartons can wear the FSC label, as all our paperboard comes from wood from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources. It’s part of our commitment to look after the forests of the future.

MORE PLANTS, LESS CO2

Reducing CO₂ emissions helps reduce climate impact. Plants are vital to this as they absorb CO₂ as they grow. It’s why we use so much plant-based material in our packaging – on average our cartons are more than 70% paperboard, made from wood fibers. We’re also reducing our climate impact by reducing carbon emissions throughout our supply chain.

MORE PLANTS, LESS PLASTIC

Our cartons are mostly made from paperboard and on average have more than 70% less plastic than a typical plastic bottle. We make sure that the thin layer of plastic we use is the minimum necessary amount to keep the contents safe and protected and we’re committed to removing fossil-based plastics wherever we can.

HOW YOUR MILK BOX GETS RECYCLED

Your cartons can do a lot more than just hold milk or juice. They’re recyclable and full of useful, reusable materials. Once collected, they go to the recycling plant, which mixes the cartons with water in a giant blender to separate all the layers of material. These valuable materials can then be turned into new packaging and other useful products.

THANK YOU FOR RECYCLING

Recycling is essential to a circular economy. Our cartons are made from high quality, strong paper fibres which can be recycled several times, so they can keep delivering value. It’s why we’re committed to making recycling processes central to our business and why we’re grateful for your help in making sure you take all your used packaging to be recycled!
