​Tetra Laval Group donates to the Red Cross Society in Trinidad and Tobago towards COVID-19 relief efforts

To support the global response to this crisis, the Tetra Laval Group is donating €10 million to various voluntary organizations supporting the health care systems across the countries that we operate in.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made an unprecedented impact on communities worldwide. Our thoughts and concern are with all those whose lives have been affected.

To support the global response to this crisis, the Tetra Laval Group is donating €10 million to various voluntary organizations supporting the health care systems across the countries that we operate in.

Among them is the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS). This local organization is receiving €10,000 to support in their relief efforts on the Caribbean island.

Marco Dorna, Tetra Pak’s director for Central America and the Caribbean, said: “We are committed to making food safe and available everywhere, while prioritizing the safety of our collaborators. We are thankful to be able to support organizations and communities in this extraordinary situation”.​

Jill De Bourg, the TTRCS's president in Trinidad and Tobago, said: "The COVID-19 pandemic has presented an unprecedented challenge with deep social and economic consequences, which has severely compromised food security, nutrition, and livelihoods of our people. The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society stands committed in maintaining its ongoing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable groups impacted by COVID-19.  We thank Tetra Pak for stepping up as a corporate partner with the TTRCS in its response to this pandemic
