STABLE BY DESIGN

Secure your process with the magnetic agitator

The hermetically sealed magnetic agitators eliminate the most common source of process disturbance in conventional designs: mechanical seals. But magnetic agitators usually come with a trade-off. As vessel size increases, torque drops – limiting oxygen transfer in high-density processes. 

 

Our patented design removes that compromise. It delivers high torque, maintaining oxygen transfer and consistent performance across the full size range.

Combine flexibility with consistency

The bioreactor is available in sizes from 10 to 50,000 litres.3 All vessels apply the same design platform, control logic and operating approach. This means your team has one system to learn, not several. At the same time, the modular design lets you configure the unit to your needs. And if those needs change, so can your bioreactor. The platform stays familiar and the configuration moves with you.

Pre-defined control strategies for gassing and feeding, combined with insights from integrated mass balance, give you clear visibility into what your process is doing, and why. The embedded OPC UA connectivity and event logging enable deeper analysis. It is easy to extract and audit process data from your preferred BDMS (bioprocess data management system) or PAT (processing analytical technology) software.

Get inside to test – fast and easy

Make it easy to test impellers, the baffle configuration and more: the easy-open upgrade adds a hydraulic lift and moves connection points to the side, providing quick access to the inside of your bioreactor.

Keep running when filters clog

Clogged filters can result in a lost batch. The dual exhaust option minimises the risk. While cleaning one dirty filter, production can keep running on the other line.

1 Source: Commissioning of bioreactors typically takes twelve weeks. A Tetra Pak® Bioreactor RF solution typically requires around six weeks. Estimated savings are based on a daily cost of €1,500, resulting in commissioning cost savings of up to €45,000. 
Platforms represent around 12% of the investment cost for regular bioreactors. The compact design of Tetra Pak® Bioreactor RF reduces platform costs by 60%, corresponding to a €280,000 saving with a 4-million-euro scenario. 
Combined savings amount to up to €325,000, equivalent to approximately 8% of the total CAPEX.
