Consumers today expect variety and visual excitement from extruded stick products as well as scoopable formats. Tetra Pak® Dual Ripple Swirl unit helps achieve that. It is the world's first patented solution for adding two independent ripple swirls to a single extruded ice cream product.
Compatible with jams, caramel, chocolate compounds, fruit sauces and other pumpable ingredients, the unit connects directly to existing Tetra Pak cutter workstations and pump stations – ensuring efficient line integration.
The compact footprint fits within a single cutter workstation and the design supports fast installation.
Tetra Pak® Dual Ripple Swirl unit mounts as a workstation on a Tetra Pak extrusion cutter. Two separate sauce lines feed into the unit, each connected to its own Tetra Pak pump station. As the extruded ice cream passes through, the two swirl ingredients are injected independently and simultaneously, creating two distinct ripple patterns within the same stick product. Rotor speed, adjusted via the HMI, controls the visual appearance of each swirl. Speeds are stored as recipes, allowing consistent reproduction consistently across shifts and multiple lanes.
Compatible swirl ingredients: jams, caramel, chocolate compounds, fruit sauces and other pumpable materials. In practice, any ingredient that can be pumped through a Tetra Pak pump station can be used as a swirl.
Changeover times: rotor and nozzle switch approximately 10 minutes; full ingredient change 30-60 minutes
Lane configuration: each unit serves a single lane. Two units are required for two-lane lines
