Tetra Laval Group donates £80,000 to British organisations towards COVID-19 relief efforts

The global COVID-19 outbreak has brought about never-before challenges in our daily lives, and we remain deeply concerned for all those affected by the pandemic.

In order to support the country’s collective response to this crisis, Tetra Pak, Sidel and DeLaval, will jointly donate £40,000 to the National Emergencies Trust and £40,000 to the British Red Cross  with a view to support the health care system/ COVID-19 relief efforts in UK.

The contribution to the National Emergencies Trust will be used to support the diverse community and voluntary organisations helping local people during the COVID-19 crisis.

The contribution to the British Red Cross will help to continue the vital role the organization is playing during this unprecedented time.  The charity has been delivering food and medicine to those most vulnerable, making sure refugees and people seeking asylum are safe, and working with the NHS to support in taking people home from hospital.

Katharine Ross, Head of Corporate Partnerships said: “The world is facing an unprecedented global health emergency.  In these difficult times, it’s more important than ever to be kind to ourselves and to each other, and to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.  We are therefore extremely grateful for this donation from the Tetra Laval Group. With the help of such contributions, the British Red Cross can continue to put kindness into action to support those who need it most across the UK. We know that connected communities are stronger communities and although the virus may keep us apart, kindness will keep us together.”

This forms part of the Tetra Laval Group’s recent donation of €10 million to support global COVID-19 relief efforts https://www.tetralaval.com/news-and-press-releases/tetra-laval-group-covid-19-relief-efforts
