A dynamic stator in the Turbo Unit – a patented technology from Tetra Pak® - is pneumatically lowered to allow high shear mixing. When raised, the stator enables blending without shear for the addition of larger particles.
Double shaft agitator
With very viscous products (up to 100 000 cP) uneven mixing can occur. In this unit, a double shaft agitator ensures all the product comes into contact with the high shear head, and is thereby properly mixed.
Flexible heating methods
Depending on the application, various heating and cooling systems are available to control product temperature. In applications where ultra fast and gentle product heating is required the Tetra Pak® High Shear Mixer comes with a steam injection system. With the addition of a dimple jacket lining the tank, you can heat and cool especially sensitive products and avoid burn-on of for example proteins.
The powder valve is unique to Tetra Pak®'s high shear mixers. It closes immediately if there is a loss of vacuum for any reason. This eliminates the risk of back flow into the powder system, and prevents blockages, which would stop production.
Choice of dosing systems
This unit offers the choice of dosing powder ingredients automatically or manually. Automatic dosing works in a controlled and reliable manner. It draws ingredients into the mixer, eliminating the need for an operator. On the other hand, manual dosing is a good solution for price sensitive customers, enabling us to offer a Tetra Pak® High Shear Mixer at a lower investment cost.
